Green Teams

Caring TELUS team members from across the country have banded together to form one national and four regional volunteer teams focused on sustainability issues. From hosting screenings of documentaries, to fundraising for local initiatives and participating in Earth Day and Earth Hour activities, TELUS' Green Teams rally their colleagues to join the effort to reduce our environmental footprint.

The Green Team also helps support activities such as Earth Hour, a global lights-out initiative, which was held on March 27, 2008. At TELUS, we turned off all non-essential lights and exterior signage on many of our major buildings. Where possible, we turned out lights for the entire night or weekend.
